Your One-Stop Hub for Instruction and Behavior: Introducing the Staff Resource Board

Last year was my first year serving as Dean of Students and Instructional Coach at my current school. It was a year filled with learning, reflection, growth, and a deep dive into what our staff and students need most. As I have taken time this summer to reflect on what worked and where we can go even further, one tool stood out as something that has the potential to be a game changer.

The Staff Resource Board is a one-stop hub for everything related to classroom instruction, behavior systems, collaboration, and professional learning. I truly believe this board can be a gold mine for our staff; not just during the first few weeks of school, but all year long.

Whether staff is looking for classroom management tools, instructional strategies, or ways to strengthen their PLC work, this board keeps it all in one place for easy access.

Why This Resource Matters

As educators, we are constantly pulled in multiple directions. It can be hard to keep track of slide decks, strategies, reflection tools, and intervention guides. This resource board pulls it all together in a way that is organized, intentional, and easy to use.

Inside the board, you will find:

  • Behavior systems and referral guides
  • Instructional playbooks and coaching tools
  • Kagan structures and P.I.E.S. visuals
  • Learning goal and evidence exemplars
  • Tier 1 and Tier 2 support strategies
  • MTSS visual tools
  • PLC templates, data organizers, and AI powered planning prompts
  • Sub plan templates and more

This is more than a list of links. It is a living, evolving resource aligned to our instructional priorities and the real needs we see in classrooms. It is a place where best practices meet real world application.

How I Hope It Is Used

I designed this board to be a support system, not a checklist. My hope is that it becomes a go to reference for our staff, something teachers bookmark, revisit during PLCs, pull up during planning, and reference during professional learning sessions.

It can be used to clarify learning goals. It can be used to select a new checking for understanding strategy. Lastly, it can be used to reflect on classroom management routines and to support a student who needs a little extra care.

This board reflects the best thinking from across our building and district, combined with research based tools and strategies that are practical and effective.

Let’s Keep Growing!

If there is a tool you would like to see added or a resource you think would help others, let me know. Just like our practice, this board is always evolving.

Let’s keep learning from each other, growing our practice, and staying committed to what matters most, students.
