Curriculum Revamp Update: It’s Almost Finished

Back on April 12th, I made a post sharing that I was considering completely rebuilding my middle school PE curriculum from the ground up.

Well… here’s the update:

I went all in.

For the past several months, I have been working nonstop on what has turned into one of the biggest professional projects I’ve ever created in physical education.

This is no longer just an idea or a few sample lessons.

This is becoming a full-year, grades 6-8 curriculum completely aligned to the 2024 SHAPE America Standards and Grade-Span Learning Indicators with fully built daily lesson slide decks that teachers can project and use immediately.

The project now includes:
• Full-year scope and sequence
• Daily lesson slides
• Standards-aligned learning goals and evidence
• Beginning and end-of-class CFU Questions
• DOK-aligned questioning
• Progressive skill development by grade level
• Small-sided games and gameplay modifications
• Fitness and MVPA lesson structures
• Rubrics and assessments
• Exit tickets
• Hyperlinked instructional resources
• PE GIF integration for differentiation
• Teacher notes and instructional supports throughout

One thing I’m especially proud of is the intentional progression between 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

Students are not repeating the same lessons every year. Skills, tactics, gameplay application, decision-making, and complexity intentionally increase from grade level to grade level.

Every lesson also follows a consistent structure (via slides) focused on routines, clarity, engagement, student ownership, and high MVPA:
• Agenda
• Warm-up
• Dynamic stretching
• Learning goal and evidence
• Skill development/gameplay tasks
• Checking for understanding
• Assessment alignment
• Exit ticket
• Standards slide

At this point, the curriculum is becoming massive. Hundreds and hundreds of slides, multiple units, assessments, fitness components, and instructional resources are already built.

Honestly, the amount of time that has gone into this project has been massive, but I truly believe middle school PE teachers deserve standards-aligned resources that are rigorous, engaging, realistic, and actually ready to use immediately.

I’m getting very close to finishing major portions of it and wanted to ask all of you:

If this became available as a full curriculum resource, what would you consider a fair price for something like this?
