The Pitcher’s Handbook Is Now Available in Digital and Paperback Editions

After a long-time coaching, researching, writing, revising, and organizing the information I wish I had as a young pitcher, I am excited to announce that The Pitcher’s Handbook: A Complete Pitching Development System is now available in multiple formats!

This handbook was created to help pitchers understand not only what they should do, but also why they are doing it.

A Complete Year-Round Pitching Resource

Inside The Pitcher’s Handbook, readers will find guidance and resources related to:

  • Research-based pitching mechanics and teaching progressions
  • Arm care, warm-up routines, recovery, and injury-risk reduction
  • Throwing progressions, long toss, bullpen routines, and game-day preparation
  • Velocity development principles that prioritize long-term arm health
  • Mental performance, confidence, focus, and composure
  • Pitch design, sequencing, command, and game strategy
  • Strength and conditioning recommendations
  • Pitchers’ Fielding Practice (PFP) drills
  • Evaluation tools, goal-setting resources, and player-development templates

Whether you are developing a young pitcher, preparing a high school athlete for the next level, coaching an entire pitching staff, or supporting your son’s development, this resource was designed to provide practical guidance throughout the year.

Why I Created This Handbook

Pitching has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I earned All-State honors in high school before pitching for three years at the NCAA Division II and NAIA Division I levels. During my playing career, I also experienced the consequences of overuse, overtraining, inconsistent routines, and mechanical inefficiencies. Those challenges eventually led to two shoulder surgeries within five months.

The lessons I learned through those experiences shaped the way I now coach pitchers.

After more than 15 years of coaching high school baseball, I continue to believe that three qualities separate good pitchers from great pitchers at every level:

Routine. Structure. Work ethic. Those principles serve as the foundation of this handbook.

My goal is to help today’s pitchers develop with greater clarity, protect their arms, build confidence, and avoid some of the mistakes I made during my own playing career.

Thank You for Your Support!

I am incredibly grateful to the coaches, baseball professionals, friends, colleagues, and early readers who provided feedback and encouraged me throughout this project.

If you purchase the handbook and find it valuable, an honest review on Amazon, Apple Books, or Google Play Books would mean a great deal.
